Cambridge Festival of Running 2010

Sunday 11 April 2010

Welcome to the
Cambridge Cambourne 10K

Following its successful launch in 2009, with 1000 participants, the Cambridge Cambourne 10k appeals to runners of all levels: from new runners who want something more than just a fun run, to those with more experience. The distance is long enough to be challenging, but short enough to be accessible to anyone with the determination to put in a bit of training.

Provisional race results are now up.
Thank you all for taking part and supporting - we hope you enjoyed the day.

Ideal London Marathon warm-up
We can offer experienced runners a high quality event with an accurately measured and well-marshalled course with chip timing. The date is highly suitable for Virgin London Marathon entrants who want a sharp run in good conditions as they taper for the Marathon.
Lovely rural course
The course passes through wooded areas and alongside lakes. It is almost entirely off road on proper footpaths, which are better for your legs than tarmac. The whole course is traffic-free with a finish that must be one of the most inspiring in the country.
  Exciting Prizes
Quality medal, souvenir mug and more for everyone
spot prizes

Rural course includes woodland & wildlife meadows

An opportunity for sightseeing too
Competitors from outside the local area can take this opportunity to have a firstclass run in great scenery in the morning and take time out to visit the beautiful, historic City of Cambridge in the afternoon.

Strong community involvement
We hope the race will be exciting for the whole community and be a pleasure for all concerned, both runners and helpers. We also hope that you’ll make this one of the highlights in your calendar and come back year after year. Many local community groups and businesses are supporting the event as marshals, staffing the drinks stations or through sponsorship, as well as taking part.
